I never have that much open at once.
Without knowing the computer specs, this would be a hard thing to compare.
This could be as much system resources running low as anything.

I recommend Alt + D as well, F6 and Alt + L also do this, but depending on the browser you may have to press F6 twice to get there as is the case in Edge.

If you are wanting to copy a web address you can press ALT + D which will place you in the address bar.
If you are trying to copy a link off a web page, when you are on the link you can press ALT
