Yes, the 1 GB of RAM may become an issue. That's not much RAM for reading books and listening to audio. Be sure and test the tablet out because I think you may experience pauses or lags when listening

I don't use the product, but OCR is the main point here. Of course, you can now scan an image and let JAWS new capability do the rest, if that makes your life easier.

OpenBook will scan your document as an image if you set the file type to tif pcx jpg etc. This will retain the pictures in the original.

Be aware that if you use openBook, it reformats your document. The information is still there, but in whatever order OpenBook in its great wisdom decides to place it.

Your printer may have came with it disc that has the scanning utility software. If it does not or does not happen to be accessible, you can always use Windows fax and scan. Simply open the software
