On my outlook/word/IE, the title bar is repeated by JAWS 15 at least twice.
In IE it will say the title bar 4 times. Anyway to control this?

Re: Odd problem with an Excel spreadsheet.
Thanks Jerry and all. The rows were hidden. Not sure how they got hidden,
but they were.

Re: SQRT in Microsoft XL 2010
Yeah, that's probably a lot more precise. I have this thing about preferring
decimal stuff over fractions, so I didn't think of that.
OH, and just an FYI, this works in the calculator on Windows

Re: SQRT in Microsoft XL 2010
Nicole,
To get the exact cube root, I entered =9^(1/3) instead of 9^.333333...
Works! Very nice.

Re: SQRT in Microsoft XL 2010
Type this to show it. =9^.5. It'll return a value of 3. The carat designates
a power, and the .5 is what you need for a square root instead of a square
root (^2), cube root, (^3), etc.

Here you go.
If you need the square root of a number, go =sqrt(number). For the symbol go

Nicole,
Never knew that about ^.5. Amazing what a storehouse of knowledge we have
if we could only put it all together in one brain.

Re: SQRT in Microsoft XL 2010
^.5 will do it much easier than trying to use another command, as elevating
a number to the .5 power is the same thing.

SQRT in Microsoft XL 2010
Working in XL I tried to take the square root of a number in cell C3. I
used "=SQRT(C3)" but it did not work. I think the equation is right but not
sure. Anybody know?
Thanks

Probably because it's hidden, like you suggested. I'm sure someone has the
shortcut key command to unhide rows or columns.

control A
Dear list,
For some reason my Control a command to select all does not work in outlook
2010. Is there another key command I can try? I'm using Jaws 15. It works in
other apps just not outlook.
