Hello Michael,
If all you want to do is silence JAWS, you can do this without killing JAWS.
You will have to use the layered command.

First, check whether the Jaws shortcut you should have on your desktop has a shortcut key or not. In order to do so, select it and press <alt+enter> to display its properties.

I have the anniversary pack installed and have an "Extract All" item
on the context menu for zip files; if I trigger that I get a dialog
asking where to copy the files to.
