Re: MS to cease support for IE 8, 9 and 10 next week
Mike,
Thanks for that. Without JAWS in front of me I'm never quite certain when it's going to follow the focus of the PC or not. Most of the time it does, but clearly it didn't this

Re: Home based employment
Plantronics also makes a single-driver unit mixing the two sources, like the one I’m presently using. Works pretty well, without the cauliflower ear I had with the dual unit a few years ago.

Re: Mirror Display driver error
This is for Win 7 machines by the way. Win 8 and 8.1 aren’t impacted by this.

Yes. I ran the .exe file for the latest JFW 17. This is my practice in general. I haven’t used the disk in years. Nor do I do the update through the update tool in Jaws.

I followed Mike's additional instructions to route JAWS cursor to PC, then hit Pageup, and all of the information was accessible, thanks.
Bye for now,
Carolyn

Re: Jaws with Learning Ally Link
You should just be able to press control-o and type learningally.org. The
home page comes up. You have the ability to do searches from there.
If you need more help, you can email me off list

Re: Mirror Display driver error
Sounds as if going from 16 to 17, if 16 worked correctly, should be okay. If I use the removal tool(I haven’t yet), I’ll be removing 15 only.

You can check in your device manager to see if the mirror display driver is installed. If it is, I would remove it, and then run a JAWS repair. This has resolved this issue for me in the past. If

Actually, you can select a part of a file to spell-check. When I don’t want an entire file spell-checked, I go to the point where I want spell-check to start, then select everything above that point

In other words, you used a download, rather than the factory disk? I want to follow this thread, as 17 may be in my immediate personal and professional future.

Walt's question about JAWS unloading and reloading (was JAWS really acting badly)
Walt,
I had a similar problem with Internet Explorer, and the problem turned out to be an Add-on installed by Avast Antivirus. Now, in the case of Adobe Reader, I had this problem

I wouldn't think so. I have this addon, and it's purely cosmetic. I wouldn't think it would allow unverified addons to run.

Hi Dennis,
Thanks so much. I will definitely look into this program. I would really like to be able to convert m4a into mp3. Have a great one.

Thanks. I already did that. In November they said they weren't supporting
now they are.

Cindy,
I just logged in to weightwatchers.com. I am running WIN7 and IE11. And it seemed to work just fine, although I am not familiar with the site.
Not sure if this helps!
