when the PDF is first opened, it's number of pages needs to be prepared. before pressing the ok button, it should mentioned towards the top of the Adobe Reader window. I'm able to use the JAWS cursor

Yeah this is definitely something we've all been over ont eh list before, but it's why I usually try to say "jaws key" or "screen-reader key".

discontinued feature or your current version goes screwy. I don't call that

I've been using JAWS for windows for quite some time and not once do I
remember instalation automaticallys etting up a hotkey; I had to do it
myself. I currently don't even bother with a jaws hotkey,
