OK. In my case it wouldn't have helped me because despite the icon not showing up in the system tray, JAWS seemed to be working for the most part. I did have problems with it not reading everything

I suggested how to check thing for those that don't know if they're Jaws version is fully loading or not, not for those that already know.

A simpler is to configure JAWS not to load when Windows starts, then copy the JAWS icon from the desktop or start menu to the Startup folder in the start menu. Then it loads fully and properly every

Sounds like you were having a problem with Jaws loding, but not fully loding when starting or rebooting for a long time.
I know several people that this happens to, and a little trick to know

Press the windows key and type Touchpad. Touchpad settings will come up. You should be able to turn it off there, depending on your laptop model.

One thing I have noticed about JAWS when it is run from the start menu instead of from the registry. It seems to be a whole lot more consistent about reading everything that it is supposed to be
