I agree on using the Win10 Skype app.
It is so very simple to use, even when tabbing to what you want. It is much less confusing to me than Skype 8.25.

Also, my computers fan makes a sound. When I can not feel the air coming from the fan, I know the computer has shut down.

yup, me too. I'm gonna use Windows 7 until Microsoft says "no more". But by then I hope to have learned enough about Windows 10 to at least use it without too much of an issue. We shall see

If you plug in or pull either of the above you will typically get a system sound telling you that it's either connected and ready for

There is a bit of a trick to check for windows shut down. Wait a bit and try opening your CD drive. If it opens, you're not totally shut down. If not, shut down has taken place.

So how can you tell for sure that your computer has shut down completely if there is no sound like in Windows 7 and earlier? This is yet another reason why I'm in no hurry to upgrade to Windows
