Re: Speech on demand
Hi, Vic. I don’t know the reasoning behind why certain keystrokes can be activated via INSERT, while others can only be activated via CAPSLOCK. However, I know INSERT does not always act like JAWS

The easiest way to fix it is to go to the status bar with f6, and change the view to draft. It won't affect your printed document, but it makes the page transition go smoothly. Failing that, while

Word 2010 page breaks
Hi all,
I am running the latest version of JAWS with Word 2010 under the Windows fall creators update. When I arrow through a document in Word and come to a page break, it jumps to the next page.

You got it! I am running the laptop layout. When I use caps lock plus space and shift+s it works. That leads me to the obvious question: Why does insert+space s turn on SOD mode but insert+space

Hi!
You are definitely not the only one LOL!
I use the Win10 mail app, and I have to use JAWS 18 as well. JAWS 2018 does not work in the mail app nearly as well as JAWS 18 does.

Re: Speech on demand
Also, Vic. If you are running JAWS Version 2018 (build 1712.10 ILM), with JAWS Laptop keyboard layout, it would be CAPSLOCK plus SPACE, followed by SHIFT plus S.

Re: Speech on demand
It doesn’t work that way for me, though. Pressing insert-space followed by shift-s doesn’t say or do anything whether speech on demand is on or off.

It works perfectly here, every time. I don’t know what’s wrong with your installation – probably one for VFO Technical Support.

This doesn’t work for me. When I press insert+space and then shift+s with speech on demand mode on nothing happens. I have tried over and over again with no success. I am using Eloquence if that

Unfortunately, it does not work in the current version of Jaws2018, but it does work in the previous version of Jaws2018. This has been reported to BFO, so hopefully they will come up with a fix
