Hi, Judy. Because your JAWS is set to either Punctuation some, or none, you aren't hearing the period after the plus sign. It's Windows plus the period. You don't use the plus sign.

Hi, you said press windows key and then plus. That doesn’t work for me. If I press windows then have to do shift equals sign to get plus it doesn’t work. Judy

Just hit windows + . to open emoji panel then arrow to your selection and hit enter, then esc to exit emoji panel

installed first, followed by OpenBook, not the other way round.

The install requires you to be online. I assume you were?
With JAWS 2022, the OCR component was installed when I invoked an OCR
function. But, of course, I understand you to be using JAWS

I and another person said ‘ to create a new Outlook folder try Control-shift-E’ after you have selected the higher level folder you want sub-folders under.

Well, I looked at all of that an no hot keys were defined.
However, now the keystroke works correctly. That was after I just updated JAWS2022 to the latest build.

For fun, I just tried hitting control-shift-n when I was in Outlook, and it does create a new note when in Outlook, but not if I take my focus out of Outlook.
