Re: Problem with the way JAWS reads numbers and spaces in between in Braille
I recently had a similar issue, and I solved it by pressing alt+shift to set the keyboard language to US English. I don't know if there's another way.

As far as I know and I double checked with the version I have installed, you have the latest.
Note: the layout of the program has changed a bit and it has been that way for over a year.

I am using, as of yesterday night, Skype 8.81.026 which did install correctly. If I cannot get it install automatically, will try your recommendation.
Thanks

Hi,
I think your situation needs to be dealt with directly with Freedom Scientific.
If they don't give you the help to correct the problem then come back to the list.

Hi Ken,
When programs do things like that I try to go into them and figure out how to turn off promotions and other announcements. If something does pop up, escape usually works.

Help with settings issue using Skype and W10.
I have been using W10 and Skype for a long time, but it does not update by itself. Meaning I have to download any update manually. Are there any directions available for finding if auto update is on

Re: Pop-up windows - how do you get rid of them?
Hi, if you are using Jaws, push Jaws key plus f8. This will bring up a list of any active frame on screen, so that you can focus the cursor on it and close it.
Best,
Leo Bado

Try just hitting ESCape when they appear. That often works while they have focus.
