For on the fly changing of the screen echo, use JAWS+S, it will cycle between the three options, all, highlighted, and none. As far as I can tell this is only held in memory and does not change the

I use it, especially when I want to hear the percentage of files being
copied from one drive to another. If screen echo is set to None or
Highlighted, the percentages won't voice, unless you use a key

The explanation is to be found in JAWS quick settings. Open quick settings with JAWS key-v and type "echo" in the edit field that comes up right away. Arrow down to the screen echo option, then tab

Hi,
I used another shortcut to do my spellchecking, maybe it's a alternative for you as well:
I use Alt+F7. This shortcut jumps to the next proofreading error and selects it right in the document.

Also, if there are lots of windows open, you can go through them in reverse order if you include the shift key.
so shift alt tab will take you to the oldest window.

Windows tab, not ctrl windows key.
Holding alt and pressing tab is what you are supposed to do with alt-tab if you are moving across more than just two windows, so you got it right there.

I actually hold down the alt key and press tab until I get to where I want to be.
I didn’t know about control windows. Next time I have a bunch of windows open I’ll have to try it.
