Richard, Different browsers work better for different sites sometimes. I highly recommend Firefox as a person’s default and then Chrome if one needs to fall back to another option. I get grief

Hi. To close the navigation/search pane, try alt-w, followed by k. I think this will only work inside the document pane. It’s a toggle, by the way.
