Re: Routers which have an interface which is accessible using JAWS
I’m with Spectrum in Fontana. I don’t think the router is the issue as much as the modem. Since I’ve been with them, I think I’ve used a TP-Link, Linksys and have been using an Eero mesh WiFi

Re: Routers which have an interface which is accessible using JAWS
I wonder if anyone has installed OpenWRT on a router and used it with a
screenreader?
That is open source firmware that gives more functionality to a router.
I hope I got that name right.

Hi Karen!
Soon, I am likely to get Spectrum cable Internet in California (Rancho Cucamonga). I would probably have this same issue. Could you please reply with the link to the Spectrum website

Winbox for the Mikrotik is not very accessible, I tried it a few

Not necessarily, my first router from years ago continued to get firmware updates for quite a while after they stopped selling it. I forgot which brand it was.

The only problem with using a discontinued router would be the lack of security updates.

Hello Dave,
You can connect to RouterOS via the API, FTP, SSH, Telnet, WinBox, or WebFig. I SSH in which is accessible. I can’t speak for the other methods. I could try WinBox and WebFig later

Even if the router isn't being sold any more, I'll bet you can find one on eBay.

I forgot to mention, The EE router, does have a web interface but, as I said before, there are buttons which are not standard HTML buttons, which is why JAWS will not recognize them.

Do the graphic buttons show up in JAWS as graphics? If so you could use the graphics labeler in JAWS to give them labels. You would need sighted help to do this but once it is done, you wouldn't need
