Re: JAWS and Apple's iCloud?
I had actually suggested that they make two buttons, one to contact a
volunteer with a recording, and one to call a volunteer without a recording.
And a message could pop up on the volunteer's screen

Hi Glenn!
What I don't understand is, why can't Apple be like Android and design their phone to look like an external drive so you don't need any custom software to put content on it or to retrieve

I don't disagree with you, I've just never had the need to record an Aira or Be My Eyes session or anything else while away from home.

All I've ever found to be accessible to a PC is pictures and videos.
That would be great if audio files could be copied out like pictures.

Re: Scanners for convenient OCR and Open Book
I have a Epson Perfection V39 scanner that is powered through the USB connection. Does a great job for all scanning needs. Don't know if this model is still available but sure one similar.

Hi Feliciano!
Thanks for the recommendation! I should have also said that I am looking for just a scanner, not one of these all-in-one devices because I have a printer that I am happy

I always recommend Epson printer/scanners because of their ease of use and accessible utility with scanning and creating PDFs.

Scanners for convenient OCR and Open Book
Hi everyone!
I currently have a color photo scanner, I believe that I could get better OCR results if I switched to a scanner designed primarily for scanning documents. Can anyone recommend one? I

Re: my bank's login section - JAWS can't read it but narrator can
To be honest though Bill, both Narrator and NVDA are better at many web apps than JAWS is.
It needs a bit of a refresh there.
All the best

Re: Saving Jaws?
That depends on what you want to do with it. If you just want to back it up, then yes. But if you want to run it as portable software, then no.

Also worth updating to JAWS 2022, rather than reporting bugs in old versions.

Re: Changing From One License Type to Another: Additional Costs?
Generally it is not recommended for you to downgrade back from an original windows 11 to windows 10.
Windows 11 is quite stable now, a year into its launched. Perhaps you can describe what didn't work
