Why not use the arrow keys instead? Also, it might help to toggle the num lock function on and then back off.

Instead of the numpad key what happens if you use the regular arrow
keys in the shape of a t, not the numpad keys?

Good Thought but no good. I did max the xcreen, and also restarted Jaws 2022/ but nothing got the numpad 6 key to work or move to the next character.

Morey, when I had that kind of problem, I maximized the window by pressing alt+spacebar and then x, or another way is to press Windows+up arrow. I also found that pressing alt+dash maximized, I think

The real editing keys should work: left, right, home, end, etc. I've had your same problem sometimes; my solution has been to reload my screen reader. Beyond that, I'm afraid I can't help.
