The problem was solved by activating the Navigation Pane in Outlook. The keystroke to do this is CTRL+6.
Fascinating that the folks at Microsoft could not figure out this rather

In the newer Outlook, Shift+F6 moves you to the tree view of folders. Honestly, I am not sure this is the nature of the problem you are raising here. Is it that you can’t see any

Good point, Bill. I tend to use Control Y mainly, but do use Control Tab twice to get to the folder list when really needed. Deb mentioned that she is on Office 2013, so I’m not sure which is

I use a windows 7 laptop with the version before the latest update of jaws.
I use a USB keyboard connected to the laptop.
Anyway, the last few days many of my folders in outlook 2013 are hidden.

As said previously, Adobe Acrobat Pro will do oCR; looks like the free version will not, which makes sense.

It was connected but it was an Exchange account and so I'm trying to change it to an IMAP account to see if I'm able to send messages from it again.
