I did it and now will have the next person who walks in my door look at it and see if I am still sideways!

You can press jaws key + 3 to pass the next key through to whatever application. This will make jaws ignore whatever you type net.

Have you updated it recently, and ran a full scan?
Sometimes malware will turn it off and you may not be aware that it is turned off.
Microsoft has some off-line scanners for download as well.

Just be aware that, if you have a whole bunch of notes, arrowing up will put
you to the previous note, rather than the text, hence I follow the
control-home then control-end to reach the last bit past

I was not following the steps exactly for adding the second or third footnote, etc. I thought I should use control+end to get passed what I had written, but that messes it
