I would try using JAWS to convert the pdf to Word which is a layered command. In other words you are going to OCR the pdf with JAWS.

In Acrobat Reader DC, there is a save as text button in the file menu. At least, I see that button in the version I am running, which should be the most recent.

Yes, and that is a very unfortunate thing and I wish there were a way to choose whether a photo should be sent as a proper attachment or as an embedded attachment which are much harder to access.

I’ve only experienced this with photos that Apple seems to mostly imbed now….

Well when I need a coworker to come in and collaborate, I can either lift the lid of the laptop in the docking station, or power on the monitor.

Because if you work in an environment with sighted people who may want to look at your monitor turning it off and on many times a day is inconvenient whereas for Jaws users the screen shade key
