Re: Question about jaws reading
Hi, Justin. It's in one of two places. First it's in the JAWS Startup Wizard, under Help.
Secondly, it is in Quick Settings (JAWS key plus V). When the search box opens, after you press JAWS key

Re: Jeff Lukacsena: cassette to mp3 for cds
I just got one for video, but two of the RCA plugs are audio, so if I can find my converter cable, from RCA to eighth inch male, I can use this for any audio source.
It was about 13 dollars on

Re: Jeff Lukacsena: question on Windows 11 and Jaws
My assumption is that you can use JAWS 2021 with possibly a few bugs. Certainly, this should work with JAWS 2022.
Appreciatively,

Re: Jeff Lukacsena: cassette to mp3 for cds
I have a very small cassette player that was made for just that purpose. I think it even came with software. It was about $25, I think, and I never used it. Still in the box.

Re: Question about jaws reading
With Word open press, Insert + V, to open Jaws quick settings.
Type, smart, into the search field and give it a couple of seconds to find.
There should only be 1 result, so down arrow and if it's

Jeff Lukacsena: question on Windows 11 and Jaws
Hello Everyone,
My Lenovo laptop says it’s okay to get Windows 11.
I am wondering if I will need to upgrade my Jaws to run with Windows 11? What version will I need?
Thanks,
Jeff Lukacsena

I guess I am in good company! Sorry I don't really have a good fix though.
Take care,

It's happening to me right now. JAWS + T reads the title of the page. Num pad and plus comes back as PC cursor. Alt + Tab does nothing. Reloading the page does nothing. Restarting JAWS worked.

Bill nailed it! The “Type without keyboard” before sign-in was checked. I unchecked it and restarted the computer. Voila! No onscreen keyboard loading prior to the Windows sign-in screen. Thanks,

I hate Edge. Just putting that out there.
All that Page loading, Still Loading, Loading complete, does my head in, and I am sure Chrome is faster.

Hi,
Actually, there is a keystroke, but it is undefined, so you would need to define a key.

Yes. In focus means the app that has the current focus.
If you do an Alt Tab round to Chrome, it gains focus. Usually an app gains focus when you enter it, but in this case, JAWS isn’t detecting

Yep, when it says Title Is, this is because Chrome isn’t gaining focus, or JAWS doesn’t think it is.
I think this is a JAWS problem, since I haven’t seen it in NVDA or Narrator.

Another option would be to buy an inexpensive digital recorder, hook the output of the cassette player or deck up to the 3.5mm input on the digital recorder and record away. When you are done you plug

Marvin, why are you so focused on Windows 11?
There is nothing you can do to make an unsupported, entry-level seventh Generation processor into a supported high-end seventh Generation or eight
