You'll probably have beter luck Gooling for usb cassette player. Also if you already have the correct cables for the computer and components, then buying a specific usb device won't be an advantage if

Could there be a Firmware setting causing this?
I’m not sure how to get to those settings as not all computers do it the same way. Also some newer machines let you look at those settings using

On the sign in screen, you will find an Ease of Access button where you can adjust these settings. Press Windows key + U to bring it straight up.
