A quicker way to open the properties for an icon on the desktop, folder or file on any drive, is to highlight any one of these items, and press ALT+ENTER.

Just to add another option into the mix; in power options you can configure the power button to trigger a shut down.

And, for yet another option, you can create a desktop shortcut to do an immediate shutdown for your computer:

the official way is to press the windows key and x at the same time, and then press u and then u to shutdown, r for restart.

Go to the desktop (windows m)
Then press alt f4
Jaws will ask you what you want the computer to do, it’s a combo box and shut down should be selected. If it is then press enter and your laptop

If the laptop has Windows 10 on it, CTRL+ESC won’t bring up a shutdown menu.
To shut down a Windows 10 laptop, do the following.
Hit WINDOWS+D to get to the desktop.

I used to have Pro as well and when renewing my SMA I was told that you only need Pro if you use Jaws for work, otherwise it makes more sense to have the Home version or whatever it’s
