What actually happens is that you hear both your computer screenreader and your phone in both ears at once.
There is no setting to separate the sound or adjust volume on the actual headphones.

F2 works for me if I want to change the name of an Outlook 2016 folder. I wonder if it matters how you get there. I go from a message list to the folders list with shift-F6. Once in that list, I use

Richard, go to your device manager. Go to sound. Go to properties on your Realtek driver. Tell it to update driver. You'll have to browse for the driver on your computer. Browse for something like

Have you turned off the Advanced settings for the "High Definition Audio driver", if you have not, by doing so, you should find that the audio does not have the effect you describe.

My laptop speakers already sound tinny, so I avoid using them anyway.

When using Silenzio, you can still use audio ducking, which I prefer. If you turn the feature to Avoid the delay in Jaws settings, you must disable audio ducking.
