if you are using a desktop computer try pressing shift plus numpad plus to turn the touch cursor and then using the arrow keys you should be able to hear something. on a laptop, i believe the command

Yeah...there doesn't really seem anything else it could do, honestly.
In my opinion, the *only* really pleasant way to deal with subtitles is with a braille display.

This cannot be stated often enough. A huge amount of JAWS functionality is not a part of its core code, but of scripts.
There's nothing wrong with this model, but if you stripped JAWS of the script

videos with accompanying transcription text where the text is
highlighted in time with the progressing video. I actually find

When you try to create a new blank document I expect it will not have all the things you've tweaked over time. Luckily, you can just undo the renaming, and you'll be doing that.
