Hi Shirley.
Go to the system tray with either JAWS+F11 or WINDOWS+B. In either case, you’re looking for your sound device. It will have a percentage after it, which is its main volume setting.

If you have elaquence voices enabled you cannot adjust the volume
through the adjust Voice dialogue. If you are using the Vocal
Expressive voices you can go to Voices submenu, adjust

Have you checked to see if you’ve silenced JAWS by hitting JAWS key + space and then S to toggle speech from full speech to on demand.

Windows and up arrow has always worked to maximize a window. The correct alternative way is Alt and Spacebar together and then X. You said Alt and Tab which is why this did not work.

Then tab to OK and hit enter.
