The majority as they don't go online and tell everyone it is working well... There are a couple of hundred people on the lists I read and there are over 100 thousand jaws users out there.

Sounds like an outlook issue not a jaws issue. Outlook is crashing Jaws not the other way around.

Oh, the trick with INSERT+8 did not work, as I thought as insert+UP arrow does not work either. Wow that’s really bad. It should work much like in the “Smart navigation mode”

One can test criteria for a rule first by using the "find" command, which in OE and in Outlook is shift + control + F.
Then use the various fields to find messages.
So in your "to" field

When filtering a list, one's intuition is to use the "from" filter, but I
learned a long time back that this was incorrect, and the way to filter out

Alt a will mute and unmute. It is a toggle switch.
There is a way to do this even if you are in word or another program, but you have to set that up.
