If you're using JAWS, make sure Virtual Ribbon is not checked.

Re: An accessible router
The Asus rt-ax58u and rt-ax88u also seem to be good. I got the smaller of those to replace a dying router, and it has given me no trouble so far. The rt-ax88u is probably more than most people need,

Yeah, now is not a good time to be expecting good Internet speeds, with the
world now working from home.
The card scanners in stores are slow too because of the Internet being
clogged.

Re: Is there an easy way (or an extension for) sending a URL as a shortcut to the desktop with Firefox and JAWS?
The only currently maintained Firefox Add-On I can find that has functionality similar to DeskCut is QuickCut.
I have not used it, and it appears to put a menu item into the Firefox menu, "Save Link."

Hey, Brian! You made my day, my files , in a folder on my desktop, were not showing up unless I did first letter navigation, could not scroll, but did the control shift 5 and it cleared it right up.

Re: An accessible router
I thought I'd let y'all know how I resolved my router issues.
I continued to experience the problem with my 5GHz band crashing, so I decided to try a wifi 6 router. I purchased a Netgear Nighthawk.

When I used Audacity a couple of years ago, it tended to crash the
computer. However, this was an old machine, and I've been told that a
newer laptop would work fine with the program.

IMO, the latest version of Goldwave with the scripts. there are scripts from Doug Lee (dlee.org) or the free ones floating around. I haven't got a clue which are better.

Re: Resolved/RE: Jaws problem making labels in Word 365
Norma,
Glad it worked. I don’t know that it works as consistently as I’d like and the label JAWS reads aloud for that box could be better. If you cannot get Alt A to work, try tabbing around
