Re: Need help with Blackboard
I can't speak to Blackboard from an overall ease of accessibility perspective, but I have had to train a couple of my previous clients who were graduate students to navigate it. All were successful

Hello,
IE does not work with blackboard, even if you can see. I primarily use
IE and got a sighted friend to check to see what was going wrong, and
apparently some of the buttons don't even display

I'm not certain but I suspect she is using IE. I will suggest she

Hello,
Which web browser is she using? I'm sad to say I can't offer much
comfort with blackboard, it is absolutely terrible. However, it's
somewhat less useless on chrome than IE.

JM, I'm curious, what plugins did you get rid of to make Winamp a bit more stable, and what other things did you do?

Glad that worked. Microsoft is extra protective when it comes to reading attached Word documents because they can contain viruses, malware, etc. Hence the reason to never open attachments unless you

Do you know if the PDF files are images?
Jaws will try to do OCR on image PDFs while I do not believe Narrator has that ability.

Was it a document you received via Email?
If so, it may be in Protected View.
Often you can enable editing, assuming it is from a trusted source, by hitting f6 until you get a dialog that says

Agree, it is long overdue.
I emailed FS about this ages ago but perhaps others should add their clamour to the request.
It can be done with NVDA and an Addon I don’t see why Jaws cannot sort this

Hey David.
Regarding winamp, there were a few things I did to set it up that made it work better – iE, getting rid of some dead plugins. I also use windows now to add stuff to playlists instead
