I am not sure exactly what Windows 8.1 had as a built-in app, in Windows 10 is an app called Mail, but unless you need a free solution I guess Outlook is the obvious choice as among paid programs it's

Jaws silence when copying, pasting, etc.
What is going on with Jaws not saying: paste, copy, selected, etc.?
Sometimes unloading Jaws and restarting it corrects the problem but at other times it doesn’t. Tom

Exactly, if I can move a "loose file" as you describe it into a subfolder in about 5 seconds by pressing Control + X, going to the subfolder and pressing Control + V then I'd tell any sighted

Makes some sense. So sounds like doing drag and drop of say a loose file in the documents folder as an example into a subfolder in the same larger folder creates the error I described.

I hate the way MS keeps messing up keyboard commands! I cant get to the app bar with the old method and cant seem to find a way to do it. but if you can get focus on the app bar then right

You may need to reinstall your video card driver. press the windows key and type Device manager. Now in the device manager window tab once and arrow down to display adapters and right arrow to expand

Thanks Glenn and Dan for your suggestions. Due to how the image was sized in the body of the email, the usual methods of running OCR on it didn't yield useful results. I even tried printing the email

Save the message as an EML file, the default choice for saving a message, and then run OCR on it after that.
Or try to do shift + applications on the open message and see if there

I would copy and save e-mail to a Word or similar document. Then you can OCR the document with Fusion. From the virtual viewer you can save the necessary text after the OCR.
