Re: jaws announcing tables
When I talked with FS about this, the suggestion was to copy into Notepad instead of Word, so the table formatting isn't shone.

I'm familiar with Jackie. She definitely knows her business but I had no idea she could write JAWS scripts. I'm not surprised, though.

Tom, where is the “default settings section”? I’m still having the problem, and I’m hoping your solution will also be mine. Thanks.

For customized JAWS script writing I highly recommend Brian Hartgen, who is just amazing.
You can also contact Level Access as well as the Paciello Group.

Hi,
Thanks to all those who answered my query regarding jaws reading some emails as tables.
The problem now seems to have been fixed after changing all tables to data tables in the default

When in Microsoft Word press insert+V for the JAWS Quick Settings dialog.
Down arrow to Tables and you should find three options. You can disable any of these, including table

Is there a way to turn off Jaws' announcements of tables when reading documents?
I'm helping an elderly friend who receives a lot of interesting articles that have been copied from a web site, then

Generally yes I would agree. There is a site I use from time to time for more technical stuff, but on a whole, Google Translate is probably the answer.
On a side note, I actually just finished

I have to believe that Google Translate is accessible, and it would take only a few moments to test out if it would meet your need.

The difference between that i5 and a faster processor in 2019-2020 is minimal at best - we're talking literally 100 to 200 MHZ and absolutely 0 percent in real world performance -

It looks under powered with not enough RAM. Spend the extra money for
a faster processor with at least 16 GB of memory. You will be happy
you did. The question should not be what I minimally need
