The thing to be concerned about with XP isn't from an accessibility
standpoint, but the fact Microsoft won't actually support it in 3 years, and
there's no guarantee Freedom Scientific will either.

There are advantages and disadvantages to both. I prefer XP, but mainly because I'm a big Total Recorder user, and XP lets me keep Jaws out of whatever I'm recording, and 7 does not. I'm also more use

XP Pro will be more familiar, if your job will let you use it instead.
Some jobs, particularly work-at-home jobs, won't allow Windows 7 at all, so I'm surprised your job is suggesting you go that

Sounds like having Outlook Express on that machine is confusing things. It
needs to be removed, since it does not run on Windows 7 (or so I've been
told).

I can validate that. I've had a couple conversations with Eric trying to solve problems that tech support and John Carson couldn't solve, and he does know his way around Jaws like a blind person. The
