I'm nopt even sure it's a Windows problem. I've had phantoms in the system tray that those with sight say they can't see. I wonder if simply restarting JAWS would clear those phantoms.

Go to system settings with jaws key plus 6 on the number row
Tabe once and you hear users
Arrow once and you hear Web / HTML / PDFs
Arrow right once and you hear the same as above

thanks. it worked. i never knew the previous versions were useing the windows file explorer in the desktop drop box folder.

maybe Dropbox switched to the new design by accident. Try tabbing a few times till you land on the settings icon. Press the space bar. There should be some checkboxes talking about

function in the control panel. You can easily pull this up by typing
in "programs" into the start menu search.

for jaws you have to find the option to make jaws reside in the system tray instead of the desktop.
also you may have to open the notification icon and find the icons you want to turn on or off
