Re: bookmarks chrome RE: best web browser to use with JAWS?
Hi all: I actually do alt-d to highlight the url in the address bar;
copy it to the clipboard. If I'm on a hunt for something and want to save a
few addresses as bookmark; I have a notepad file open.

JAWS and NVDA
Good evening,
I’m wondering if someone could tell me about the differences between JAWS and NVDA. I know NVDA is free and JAWS is not. I’m wondering why people choose JAWS, and what NVDA is good

Re: Jaws Convenient OCr doesn't work either.
As I said, did you set up your scanner? Might want to call FS support since I definitely know this works for others who have compatible scanners.

Jaws Convenient OCr doesn't work either.
i take it back.
the Jaws Convenient OCr only works with files. i haven't tried it on web pages.
but the Jaws Convenient OCr doesn't work either on my scanner.
it just says it could not detect text.

Re: How can I get information about a graphic on a webpage?
Exactly, if a graphic contains text only Jaws Convenient OCR may work, but if the graphic is a picture you may get much more information with Picture Smart.

Hi,
I wouldn't depend on JAWS to properly be able to control your scanner if I were you since it's not specifically made for such things. Sure the option is there but I'd wager it doesn't work nearly

Re: How can I get information about a graphic on a webpage?
No, you can use picture smart. It's just that it'll depend entirely on what you're trying to use it on. It's very hit or miss.
The layered command is insert+spacebar then P then C.
