Try the following:
You export all your settings by going into the Jaws context menu with, Jaws key + J, if you run Jaws from the system tray. Then go to, Utilities / Import

Hi this behavior started with windows 10 sometimes jobs comes on at the logon screen for me and sometimes narrator comes on and sometimes nothing comes on at all I have no raider set to never come on

Eloquence is the easiest due to hearing problem
I have used eloquence for 25 years; guess just got used to it; for some reason, due to having chronic ringing in the ears; other synthesizers are hard for me to hear.

glad jaws has an adjustable speech rate

It is comparatively low quality, the sample rate is 11 KHZ, but this is good enough for me and many others and means in part that Eloquence uses a minimum of resources.
