Eloquence is the easiest due to hearing problem
I have used eloquence for 25 years; guess just got used to it; for some reason, due to having chronic ringing in the ears; other synthesizers are hard for me to hear.

glad jaws has an adjustable speech rate

It is comparatively low quality, the sample rate is 11 KHZ, but this is good enough for me and many others and means in part that Eloquence uses a minimum of resources.

Regarding the description of the graphics/images, alt text is your best bet to keep the page neat an uncluttered. Jaws will read all you put in and those that can see, they’ll see the

This is not an alt text problem. It is java script that Jaws is reading and
gettting stuck in/on for some reason...I took the advice and went into
default settings and turned off the graphics
