Re: Winamp volume
while in the main window, pressing control+alt+k pans the sound to 0%
making sure it sounds balanced, meaning that the sound is playing 50%
out of the right speaker and 50% is playing thru the left

Re: Winamp volume
Thanks to those who answered my query regarding how to increase the volume in Winamp.
Unfortunately pressing the up or down arrow while playing an mp3 file does not change the volume level at all.

That sounds like it is system dependent, I have a few of these $10 USB to 3.5mm plugs which are recognized as a USB sound device and I can also switch sound to my screen which is connected via an HDMI

Yeah. When we tried to do that, it said no sound device. When the Microsoft
Answer desk went into my devices, there were no sound devices shown.

Re: JAWS WITH AN EXTERNAL SOUND CARD

you could still use n v d a or narrator if you used the wrong sound card setting in jaws. as long as they are also set to use the normal speakers or headphone.
If it works don't fix

you may need help but all you have to do is go to the sound card settings and change to the default sound device you want to use.
no sound drivers were lost. just the settings

From the following:

Keypad 2 or down-arrow turns the volume down.
