Hi Steve
Should I have the accessibility driver checked or unchecked in windows 10?
Thanks

Re: Unchecking that Accessibility Driver in Settings...
I totally second that. While I can use a mac quite well with Voice Over, I have moved exclusively back to windows because of the greater functionality that JAWS gives me.

Re: Unchecking that Accessibility Driver in Settings...
Hi,
I believe you’ll lose a lot of functionality when you hit the Mac. JAWS is a much more capable screen reader than VoiceOver, but that’s just my opinion.

Hi,
Try the touch cursor, even if you have a keyboard. I’d say it’s almost as good.

Re: Warning - Uncheck "Accessibility Driver at your own risk
Hi,
That’s actually a Vispero problem. They should not allow you to uncheck it if you are below Windows 10.

Re: trying to learn how to use Chrome, and having issues.
No, they don’t. In Internet Explorer, CTRL+L is for a Local file. If you type a URL in it, it will still work, rather than saying don’t be so silly. <Smile>.

Sounds like you may need an update to your video driver.

Re: Is there a version of JAWS that doesn't use mirror display drivers?
Hi,
There are some programs that unchecking the accessibility driver will break. Notably NoteTab Pro, which is a text/HTML editor that I use.
Just be aware.

Hi Mike,
Just as a small addition to your steps:
The AppData folder is a hidden folder so unless you choose to display hidden folders it won’t show up.
Easiest way I think it to open the run

Re: History is gone
Well, at some point it does not really make much sense to have such old stuff on the website, I doubt anybody is still running Jaws 9.
