when you open goldwave unload and reload jaws. this helps the same problem i had. it works. you have to do it every time you open gw and it's a pain to remember it but it works.

key to close Cortana, press the windows key to bring up the search box,

you can use the up or down arrow to make your choice, but then you need

I'm not experiencing either issue.
Control_up arrow jumps to the previous paragraph in Word, I never use it on the web, so not sure if it should do what you are expecting.
