Does anyone have a list of alexa commands or know where to find the list?

They are only images, yes. But sometimes they are images of text. Why anybody would do that is beyond me, unless of course someone took a picture of--for example--a label and wanted to send it to

Which version of JAWS do you have? I think the function was added in JAWS 18, but it might have been 2018.

Hi John,
I thought the, Recognize with Jaws, feature came out with Jaws 18 but, it didn't come until Jaws2018. You could also try using Openbook to extract any text from the file as well.

Hi Mich,
technically, you're correct. However, since a photo could also be a hpotographed copy of a document, it may well be something OCR readable.

Nermin

Re: Jaws loading
JAWS 2019 seems faster after log in but problems and delays still remain at log on. FS had a lot of hype about start up but not as great as the hype.

Re: Saving an pdf file
Hi,
As an aside if you use Office 365 or Word 2016 you can open a pdf file directly in Word. Most formatting is intact and you can then edit.

Re: Any list for blind Alesa and Google Home voice controlled devices
Fragmentation becomes pointless after a while and besides, truth be told, for many of these lists, be it Jaws, iOS or blindness related tech stuff, lots of us are on these same lists anyway.

Re: OCR and JPG files
I have had good experience with this. Following Don's suggestion, without opening the file press the applications key and arrow to "recognize with JAWS" or just type the letter J. For me, it worked

You can do “JAWS+Spacebar then “o” and then either “e” or “w”. I t doesn’t really give you anything, but give it a shot. You can also try using the application key then the letter

I have not dealt with Adobe Acrobat proper in years, but I wonder if it doesn't have an accessibility wizard just like Adobe Reader DC does. In Reader DC running the accessibility
