Yes, but also backup the freedomscientific scripts as well so you always have a clean copy if you need it.

Those instructions are incorrect. You should never modify default.jss
or default.jsb files. There are other ways that Freedom Scientific has
designed for you to create or modify JAWS behavior.

Re: JAWS Scripts - Are they interpreted or compiled?
its posible but you will have to load them up in
to the script manager and press ctrl plus s to
recompile them. its also posible that some of the
functions may not work without some editing.

Re: JAWS Scripts - Are they interpreted or compiled?
Hi,
Following is the punctuation script and where it is available along with installation instructions.
Maybe it does needs compiling again under Jaws 2019 and so I’ll try that solution.

Re: [Leasey] Potential Training Course: Microsoft PowerPoint with JAWS for Windows.
The dogs map out the course, it’s caught on video one of them has a camera attached to his collar. Then a power point presentation is made. LOL.

Re: JAWS Scripts - Are they interpreted or compiled?
I wonder that even if the scripts were recompiled, they may not work
because the audio editing program may have changed so much since then
because there have probably been new versions of this program

I have a set of scripts that were written for an audio editing and recording program that were written for JFW 5.0. Could these scripts be used in JAWS 18?

The Freedom Scientific Developer Network (FSDN) is a technical manual
about the JAWS Script Manager and script files that you may find
useful.
