Hi, Kevin. This doesn't work in Windows 10. Instead:
1. Open Control Panel.
2. SHIFT TAB once to the tab categories.
3. Right Arrow once to the View tab.
4. TAB a couple of times to the Advanced tree

Before you pressed alt T were you in windows explorer? If so alt T doesn't
do anything. I'm using windows 10 and Jaws2018.

I have noticed the same problem and I am using the latest version of JAWS 2018. In particular when in IE and I hit a JAWS key F7 to open a list of links it says the version of JAWS before saying

It all worked fine.

I just downloaded the installer for it. Now I have to back up my boot disk, remove the old and install the new. I don't trust anything as far as I can throw it, so a full backup must be done

No, you just need to uninstall the ESR version, then go to mozilla.org, and download the regular Firefox.
