Hello, I have to check both boxes and if I don't jaws will act crazy but it runs correctly if I check them both so go figure.

Using an HP desktop with fast start up enabled. When I had it disabled JAWS was often not responsive at log on and did not help situation at desktop.

Turning off fast startup may have an effect on Jaws speaking at the login screen, but it should not affect Jaws starting once you put in your password or PIN and the desktop loads. In what way did
