detect, which I'm assuming is the same as a paragraph symbol (pilcro)?

Right, but if one wanted to use a custom sound, it would be necessary to know where the folder is, unless there isn't one and they are simple part of the program.

yes it can. you just specify which wav sound you want instead of typing
a replacement text. if you want the pause that a period provides, you'd
put a period in the replacement but the period won't

Dictionary Manager may suit your needs.
Place cursor on the offending punctuation mark.
Press insert D
Follow the instructions, and press alt F4 to implement the changes.
