I think you all have it backwards. The layer command turns off speech, which is not what is wanted. Using a braille-style keyboard on a QWERTY device is also not what's wanted. What *is*

So far as I am aware, you can’t disable the braille output while still using the braille input on a display. However, I can’t think of good reasons to turn off braille output. If you don’t want

Nope, you’ve got it the wrong way around. I want to disable the Braille output, not the speech. But I still want to use the Braille input of the Focus 14 keyboard. It might sound a little strange to

Also, Shift+F2 will allow adding a comment, as well as editing. And of course application key (shift+f10) will open a context menu to add/delete comments.

Greetings,
When Jaws moves to a cell with a comment it announces the fact, and alt, shift apostrophe will read said comment.
Please find some other keystrokes regarding comments below. Comments

Use the layer-command insert-space followed by s to disable speech.

Hi Steve,
Perfect, that works, would be nice if Jaws actually read what’s in there, still something for FS to look at and hopefully fix.

Re: Making a note in excel
Fair enough, but if there is no way for Jaws to speak this information automatically when you move to a cell with a comment, there should definitely be a keystroke to make Jaws speak it.
