Hi, Mark. Once you use your scanner to scan the paper document, you may be able to use the resulting picture file through the “Recognize with JAWS” feature to scan that picture.

You can purchase the Purl camera for $295.00 and then you can do what you want. I don't think a flat bed scanner would work but it might be possible.

I have a flat bed scanner and thought the Jaws OCR program could scan a paper document. I did it once, so I believe OR the change in medication is playing a trick in my head.

I do not understand your question?
Jaws is a screen reder it is not a scanning program!
It will not take a printed paper and scan it to an digital electronic document.

yes. in windows 10 it's called a tost notification, in windows Vista, 7
and 8/8.1 it's a notification balloon.

Hi again, Richard. One thing you can do either in Windows 7 or Windows 10 is to go into the Ease of Access Center, and change how long a balloon remains on the screen. I have mine set to 20 seconds.

I believe that for versions before Windows 10, you can click on the balloon, while it is present, with the Jaws left click. That is, the slash on the number pad.

Hi. I do a check for windows update and says it is up to date, and the current time. And then I do a troubleshooter and check for windows updates, had to download pending updates, rebuild the database
