When I installed 2018 it did not ask if I wanted to import settings from Jaws 18.

oh, no, no, no, I wouldn't remove shared components, especially if you have another jaws version on the system.

I had to do a repair which went through but did not fix my problems. Vfo told me to uninstall including shared components which will make things not work and to immediately install the same

I wish I could help, but I am also fairly new to Jaws having been a loyal Window-Eyes user for over 20 years. But, since Jaws installs to a new folder I think it also offers to import your settings
