Re: JAWS packaging
If I had never used a computer before and had no sighted assistance, I’m not sure if I’d know what to do with the package I received.
Seems like I remember a note in Braille on an older cd

It wouldn't surprise me if the main disc has that information now, I
am pretty sure it is a DVD now so space is no longer any sort of
issue.

There is no way that all JAWS users are going to have the slightest idea how to load the thing. Some will, some will not.
Best from,
Carolyn

Re: JAWS packaging
Or, is it that they have improved the Jaws install process so special instructions are no longer necessary?
AT least they still include some braille information.

Removing footnotes from documents
Hi all
Would like to know to get rid of the footnotes from scanned books. As
they are a big hurdle while reading the books after converting into
word documents.
Thanks in anticipation

Has anybody confirmed that this is a Jaws issue and not something from Windows 10? I run Jaws 18 on several Windows 7 Desktops at work and don’t recall ever seeing this except on my Windows 10

Re: jaws and abbyy finereader
I have not used that particular app, but insert+up-arrow will read the current line.
I've used that a lot with edit boxes that didn't read another way and it worked.
HTH,
Richard

Re: How to get window size?
Stascom utilities from www.stascom.co.za will automatically maximize windows without you needing to even worry aboutit.
Here is a link to an audio demo if interested as it can do more than maximize
