Of the settings you mentioned, the only one I set is the top and bottom
alert. For me, it works. I have the current JAWS 13 build.

I agree that the "new and improved" Quick Settings dialog is one step
further away from common-sense user interfaces. Not sure yet I can comment
on how well or not it works to make changes.

Well, regardless what I do, I'm finding jaws 13 quick settings a real pain.
I set jaws to automatically read messages, it doesn't?

Dave, I downloaded version 13.0.527 from the FS website. Anyone who does
not get the error message I posted more than likely already has MSXML 6
installed on their computer. In looking back at

You really don't need to know, where you are,
If you press the keystroke windows+r,
Regardless where you use the keystroke, the run dialog box will come up.
So, restart your computer,

Hate to say this, but you need to go on Blind Faith. When your PC has
settled down, Press Windows+r to bring up the run dialog. Type JAWS13 (no
spaces) and press enter. It should launch JAWS

One way you can do this is,
Windows+r=run;
Now type,
Jaws13 and press enter.
Another way is,
You can go to your desktop, windows+m, and if your certain there's no other
icon starting with
