You can also turn off the visual editor on a per user basis, so if you have
a sighted person helping you, he or she can still have the visual editor
turned on.

Do not modify your theme's main files. If you do, all your customisations
will be lost when the theme gets updated. Rather, create a child theme.

I find if you alt tab away, then back to NoteTab after opening it, it works, but I agree, it’s not as nice with JFW as it is with Window-Eyes.
