Hi Tom,
Keep in mind that you loose nothing by installing Google Chrome, you can still use Firefox or IE whenever you want, I actually think everybody should have at least two browsers installed

I’ve tried nothing else at this point, because I’m not sure what else to do.
As I stated earlier, this is not the end of the world, but it seems unnecessary and is somewhat anoying.
